We are now fundraising for a clean water project in Lamala Village in Aleta Chuko woreda!

This project will be used by 15,275 people in the surrounding communities.

There is one site there that does not meet the demand and is not situated properly for cleanliness.

The community leaders told us that during peak times, the women and children can’t come to get the water due to the competition for the little water there.

Children will then often just gather the dirty water pooling up around the site.

The total cost for this project (demolishing current site, rebuilding, fence work and more)

$10,295

This breaks the cost down to only 67 cents per person!

The pictures below are taken in the afternoon which is not a peak time. Even in the afternoon the children rush and compete.
