AJUUJA CHILDREN’S HOME SUPPORT

 Hawassa Hope is privileged to partner with Ajuuja Children’s Home Association, located just outside of Hawassa, Ethiopia.

In the Sidama language, Ajuuja means vision. The vision to care for vulnerable children has carried the founders and staff through many hardships.

Ajuuja is a home to around 50 children. Children who have been found in heartbreaking circumstances; several have special needs. These children are loved and brought to health. The goal is always for a child to be with a family. Sometimes reunification can occur with biological family. Other times, a local foster or adoptive family steps forward. If this is not possible, the very best care is given to those who call Ajuuja home.

Ajuuja is staffed with very special people who do more than show up and tend to daily duties at a children’s home. We have a group of very talented people who truly love the children in their care, who serve those children sacrificially. Beyond that, they are involved in the surrounding communities, providing support to the most vulnerable and overlooked people.

We would love for you to partner with us to care for the children at Ajuuja!  

• We have a sponsorship program in which you are matched with a child to pray for and support at $35 a month. We aim to have 3 sponsors per child. Scroll down to choose a child to be connected with!

• You can give $20 a month to be a formula partner or food supporter to help make sure those little bellies are full!

• You can also give a one time or a monthly gift in any amount to go to general support.

If you sign up for sponsorship-we will email you their profile so you can get to know them better. You will also receive monthly picture updates of your child.

All Ajuuja supporters receive a collage each month of the children their donations help to care for.
