MISSION STATEMENT

BEING HOPE TO VULNERABLE FAMILIES

At Hawassa Hope, our mission is to bring lasting positive change to the community of Hawassa and its surrounding areas in Ethiopia. Rooted in our faith, we are dedicated to serving with love, compassion, and integrity, empowering individuals, families, and communities to break free from the cycle of poverty and achieve sustainable development.

Guided by the belief that every person is created with inherent dignity and purpose, we strive to provide access to quality care through community sponsorship, our children’s home, education, healthcare, clean water and essential resources that improve the overall well-being of the community. We seek to be a reflection of God’s love by fostering an environment of hope, renewal, and opportunity for all.

Our mission extends beyond short-term aid by focusing on long-term, life-giving solutions. We work closely with local stakeholders, government bodies, and organizations to address the root causes of poverty and inequality. By promoting sustainable development practices, we aim to build a future where individuals can flourish and reach their full potential.

With a heart for justice and mercy, we are committed to uplifting marginalized groups, including women, children, and vulnerable populations. We honor the rich culture of Ethiopia while advocating for a more just and equitable society, where every individual is valued and given the opportunity to thrive.

Through transparency, accountability, and ethical practices, we seek to build trust with our donors, partners, and the community we serve. United in faith and purpose, we believe that by working together, we can overcome challenges and create a brighter future for the people of the Sidama region of Ethiopia.

Our mission is driven by hope—hope that reflects the love and compassion we are called to extend to others, hope for a transformed society, and hope for the realization of every individual’s God-given potential. Together, we can be instruments of lasting change, one life at a time.
