Thank you for your support of Hawassa Hope throughout 2024!

As the year comes to a close, many of you have asked about our most urgent needs. We want to share them with you, providing an opportunity to make an impact in these communities.

Here are our most pressing needs at this time:

Tesfa Community School

We are currently experiencing a funding gap for the school’s monthly expenses and are still working to secure funds for the next building for grades 1-6. Although our goal was to begin construction in 2025, we currently do not have the resources needed to start. This is a great place to invest in the children of Ethiopia.

Ajuuja Children’s Home Support

The costs of running our children’s home have risen significantly due to hyperinflation. Additionally, as the children grow, food expenses have increased.

We are currently providing care for 51 children.  Giving to Ajuuja Children’s Home has immediate impact on the children living there.

Building Hope Initiative

Home repair and rebuild is the biggest request that we receive from families. Many homes are in unsafe conditions for children and families.  Each repair costs around $3,000 with a rebuild around $6,000.  Your gift will have a great impact on a family’s daily wellbeing and quality of life.

These are our biggest, most immediate needs at the moment but, as always, you can donate to any of our initiatives that connect with your passion as the year closes.
